Grant Guidelines

MHSFI's initial grantmaking activities focused upon Transom Grants (whereby individual non-profit organizations made application through a formal prescribed application process in support of their organization/project). Given the immense devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, MHSFI's Board of Directors has chosen to pursue Strategic Grantmaking.

Strategic Grantmaking focuses on non-profit organizations/projects, in our targeted communities, that address program areas pre-determined by our Board of Directors. Most of these program areas focus on the actual delivery of targeted healthcare services to individuals, or populations of individuals.

Additionally, MHSFI desires to leverage our resources by partnering with other mission-driven, non-profit organizations or specific programs.
