Methodist Health System Foundation is helping improve the physical, emotional and mental health status of the citizens of the metropolitan New Orleans area with an emphasis on New Orleans East, Gentilly, St. Bernard and beyond through a variety of area grants. Below is a sampling of our Grants in Action in the community.

Greater New Orleans Immunization Network -GNOIN is on the front lines to protect all children from vaccine preventable diseases with focus on increasing immunization rates for children by the age of two.

Kingsley House - provides mental health counseling and health and nutrition outreach to residents throughout Orleans Parish with emphasis on New Orleans East. This program seeks to improve the mental, physical and nutritional health of the area's residents by providing services in the community, often in the homes of the participants.

Our Lady of Holy Cross College - The Nursing Scholarship Program addresses the demand for skilled healthcare professionals in our community as well as relieves the financial pressure so the student can focus on a quality education.

Healthy Lifestyle Choices - Healthy Lifestyle Choices is a comprehensive  educational  organization  that  empowers children with the knowledge and skills to make healthier choices in the areas of nutrition, fitness, safety,  conflict  resolution  /  violence prevention  and  substance  abuse prevention.
